Abstract

The Trascău Mountains are located in the eastern part of Apuseni Mountains. The 400–1400 m high mountains are lithologically compound and from a morphological viewpoint, Jurassic Limestone terrains are the most characteristic. Deep-walled transversal valleys (gorges) are very typical in these mountains. The AA. analyzed these features in terms of digital terrain analysis. - (AM)
