Authors(s) and Affiliation(s)

Emigrants from the territory of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth played a part in the colonial entreprise in South Africa. The group of persons involved was small, but the Polish influence was not ignored. Poles (mainly Polish Prussians) played their part in the emergence of a new society. They were co-organizers of pioneering expeditions inland, as well as participating in the first armed encounters with Bantu people
