Abstract

The AA. present the results of the Triglav glacier measurements, conducted between 1999 and 2012. During this period its depth was measured with georadar while its surface is measured yearly with various land surveying methods. The glacier shrinking is explained with weather data of each respective year. Due to its concave form, winter snow didn’t melt until the late summer in the past few years. With such weather conditions and further increase in winter precipitation, the Triglav glacier will continue to exist for a few years. - (IKR)
