This paper evaluates the effects of rice-husk ash with different rates of 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30% (v/v) on soil consistency limits (liquid limit, plastic limit) and soil compactibility parameters in Shanghai soils with different textures. It is highlighted that RHA increases the optimum moisture content (OMC) of soil, and decreases the soil compactibility. It is concluded that RHA promotes the aggregate stability, thus improves the workability of soil.
