Paleoecology of the southern Chilean Lake District-Isla Grande de Chiloé during middle-late Llanquihue glaciation and deglaciation
published at : Glacial and vegetational history of the Southern Lake District of Chile
The paleoecological studies of the Southern Lake District-Isla Grande de Chiloé were undertaken to develop from high-resolution reconstruction of late Pleistocene vegetation: 1) presence, associations, and migratory movement of plant taxa; 2) climatic parameters that surround stades and interstades of middle and late Llanquihue glaciation; and 3) a standard for demonstrating late Pleistocene intrahemispheric and polar hemispheric relationships and dynamic forcing of climatic events
