Abstract

The Northern Hemisphere ice sheets decayed rapidly during deglacial phases of the ice-age cycle, producing meltwater fluxes that may have been of sufficient magnitude to perturb oceanic circulation. This paper introduces a continental ice-sheet/water balance model suitable for paleoclimate studies, as a step toward explicit modeling of the global hydrological budget
