Abstract

An approach to modeling a point source of BOD effluent is presented. This approach displays the seasonal variability of a range (bracket) of possible outcomes with regard to the magnitude and location of maximum oxygen deficit and remaining oxygen demand by using the hydraulic geometry, discharge, and water temperature at 2 gauging stations situated in the Upper Sabine River Basin in northeast Texas, which has an impact on the water quality of the Toledo Bend Reservoir
