Abstract

The Clarens Formation in the KwaZulu-Natal Drakensberg, South Africa, contains some of the world's finest rock art. This heritage is fast disappearing as a result of natural weathering processes. Investigations are focused on the development of techniques for the preservation of the rock paintings. - (AJC)
