Abstract

The aim of these investigations is to quantify the rate of soil acidification. The A. presents some aspects of the N, Ca, and K fluxes, as they are very important elements with respect to soil acidification, during the period 1969-1993 and compare them with current fluxes measured in the period 1992-1994. The influence of forest management on element fluxes seems to be substantial, especially on the fluxes of base cations, but can be reduced with simple measures (e.g. removal of the bark of coniferous trees)
