Abstract

This paper examines the existence of sand-dominated ridge-form anabranching rivers in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. It describes their channel and ridge morphology, sedimentology and stratigraphy, discusses stream flow and sediment transport, and considers mechanisms for their formation and continued existence as an equilibrium channel form
