This report is a study of biosequence within a mesoscale toposequence. Its goals are: 1) to examine in detail the pedogenic modifications brought about by individual plants; 2) to compare the influence of the 2 giant rosette species on soil development; 3) to contrast these biotic effects with those of relative topographic position on soil formation in this high tropical mountain slope
