Abstract

In southern Ontario, thick glacial sediments cover the bedrock surface and conceal evidence of neotectonic activity. The topography of the buried bedrock surface has been mapped using new computerised depth-to-bedrock data. The AA. conducted a statistical study to analyse the spatial orientation of bedrock joints, modern river valleys and buried channels. An important factor in the geomorphic development has been the mid-continent stress field
