Abstract

This paper aims to yield evidence, in a large subarctic lake environment, of the intricate relationship between shrub population development and waterlevel fluctuations over the last decades, and to provide a framework for the interpretation of hydroclimatic variations in an area with strong hydroelectric potential but where instrumental data gauging is lacking
