Abstract

This study examines a noble fir (Abies procera) forest in the Oregon Coast Range to assess the role of wind disturbance in creating the structural characteristics of a developing forest interior. Specifically, the AA. explore how tree age and size, mortality, and regeneration of the near-edge forest interior are affected by disturbance resulting from catastrophic wind storms
