Abstract

The focus of this study was to measure the extent and nature of woody cover change over a 20-year period in a study area located within the Western Division. Results are reported in a geographical context, with the amount and distribution quantified in terms of the environmental types found in the area. This is of major interest as this interpretation can be used to assist managers in assessing land condition. This study relied heavily on information technologies, including remote sensing and Geographic Information System
