Abstract

This paper will give a general overview of the research done in each of the three phases of landslide studies within the EC countries: detection and classification of landslides, monitoring the activity of existing landslides, and analysis and prediction in space and time of slope failures. Some of the work has been done in the framework of the European Programme on Climatology and Natural Hazard (EPOCH)
