Abstract

Some of the mechanisms by which black and ethnic minorities can be put at a particular disadvantage within the planning system in Britain are examined. A number of types of policy processes operating in British planning are identified, and the influence of the minorities within these processes are analysed. In the conclusion, the AA. review the possibilities for the continuing struggle to end disadvantage related to race or ethnicity in the planning system
