Abstract

This paper provides an example of an approach to stratigraphic correlation of glacial sequences that combines studies of glacial sediments related to these former ice borders, with analyses of the secular changes recorded in the depositional remanent magnetism (DRM) in associated glaciolacustrine and marine deposits. Use of this combined approach has provided a means of constructing a relative glacial and magnetic chronostratigraphy for the western Adirondack borderland of New York and Ontario
