Abstract

This paper evaluates the usefulness of the shoreline preservation index for estimating the age of late Pleistocene palaeolake shorelines. It also determines for the study area the relative influence of various factors on shoreline preservation, and wether or not shoreline preservation varies significantly with shoreline aspect. Data for this analysis were collected from the basin of the largest late Pleistocene palaeolake in western North America, Lake Bonneville
