Abstract

The object of this research is the study of those morphological elements caused by neotectonic movements, that are located in a narrow area on the eastern flank of Mont Etna, a zone in which several earthquakes with very shallow foci have occurred. The methods used in this work are based on three stages of research: 1), the collection, elaboration and interpretation of bibliographic data about neotectonics and history seismicity; 2), the interpretation of aerial photos to identify geomorphological structures due to neotectonics; and 3), data verification with field survey
