Abstract

The Electoral College is an American political institution entrusted to casting the votes for the U.S. president on the basis of the popular vote in each state. The A. discusses the shifts in number of votes as a result of census changes. Strategy maps are analyzed to plan the 1996 and 2000 presidential campaigns. - (DWG)
