Abstract

The objective of this paper is to show that the region provides important information regarding the Phanerozoic tectonic history of the area by demonstrating a geographical association among bedrock surface lineaments, basement structures and geophysical anomalies. These data are most easily interpreted as evidence of upward fracture propagation from deeply-buried Proterozoic structures
