Abstract

The objective of this study was to consider the hypothesis that the soil-filled pipes of Bermuda are the product of large volumes of acidic stemflow drainage from long-lived indigenous trees. Acidic stemflow drainage has the potential to cause localized subsurface dissolution in soluble rock formations
