Abstract

The objective of this study is to quantify the reduction in solar radiation in nonpolluted regions caused by shadowing from adjacent polluted regions through the use of a numerical radiative model and to discuss the implications of that reduction. A complex multi-scattering radiative model provides the major tool for this investigation
