Abstract

This paper explores the integration of simulation and GIS (geographic information system) technologies. Results are presented from the application of a water-yield model known as SIRWAT (Spatially Integrated Regional Watershed Analysis Tool) to portions of the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area. SIRWAT allows for study of hydrologic changes in intermediate-scale (100 to 10,000 km[2]) areas undergoing urban expansion
