Abstract

The distributions of three types of piedmont landform, undissected alluvial fans, dissected alluvial fans and « glacis d'érosion », are mapped in the Tunisian Southern Atlas using multispectral remotely sensed data from the Landsat Thematic Mapper. These distributions suggest that three controls (geology, climatic change and neotectonics) may have influenced piedmont evolution and morphology in the Tunisian Southern Atlas
