Abstract

Now an arid to hyperarid area, the north-western Sudan is known to be an important source of paleoclimatic information about the extent and intensify of the late Pleistocene wet phase in the eastern Sahara. To obtain representative evidence about the paleoenvironment and paleoclimate, investigations have been carried out outside the Wadi Howar as well as outside the groundwater outlets due to artesian uplift
