The barrier-free city. Special issue

Abstract

This special issue presents a range of papers which in different ways, demonstrate the diverse and multiple spatialities of disablement. They represent a small, but growing, area of scolarship which is documenting the diverse ways in which disabled people's lives are influenced by the intersection between (their) bodies and broader socio-institutional attitudes and practices. An engagement with the diverse spatialities provides the possibilities for insights into broader processes of identity formation.
