Abstract

This study reports data for 3 ephemeral tributary systems in the Navarro basin; however, field reconnaissance suggests that maintenance of numerous small tributary crossings induces similar responses elsewhere on the North Fork and Navarro River floodplains. Results of this work provide data that constitue an element of the overall sediment budget of the Navarro basin. These findings may aid in development of highway management practices that minimize geomorphic impacts to floodplain and channel morphology and aquatic habitat in the Navarro
