Abstract

This paper tests the hypothesis that termites contribute to a stable microgranular, i.e., finely aggregated, soil structure. To this end the AA. examined the microaggregates of a termite mound with an active nest but old enough to show soil profile development. The fate of microaggregates produced by termites has been followed through the various stages of mound building
