Abstract

In the part of Southern Patagonia which was glaciated during the last glacial, different aeolian landforms occur which were sedimentated in different phases of the late- and post-glacial. It is possible to correlate specific aeolian landforms to the 3 late glacial advances. These are sand dune fields, dunes and longitudinal dunes stripes. Several conditions of glacier advances and aeolian processes were also present during the Holocene. In the Fitz Roy valley there are at least 5 Holocene end moraines. Here aeolian sedimentation and soil genesis alternated in the late Holocene several times
