Abstract

In the empirical section, the A. examines the identity politics of a particular movement on the right, that of activist protestant fundamentalism. It is politically equated with the conservative politics of the Republican Party. He also examines how Baptist fundamentalism and Liberty University conceives its difference from what is often referred to as the world; and how the formation of identity and its spaces become equated with non-religious conservative politics
