Abstract

This paper discusses some of the results of studies on karst geomorphological process response to climate and other environments in the Hongshui River Basin of South China as well as Beijing and Shandong areas of North China. Based upon the water chemicals with runoff data of 124 karst springs and underground rivers in the Hongshui River Basin, the rates of solutional denudation were calculated by means of the simplified Corbel's formula. The karst solution is a complex response process on temperature combined with precipitation in the natural environment
