Abstract

This paper presents data from one pastoral property, Mundrabilla Station in Western Australia. Wind speed and vegetation cover data have been used to estimate likely areas of wind erosion in a geographic information system. The activity levels of fallout radionuclides in topsoils have been analysed to determine rates and areas of soil erosion or soil accumulation. The findings will significantly advance the understanding of the rates of soil erosion and renewal of the natural resources of the Nullarbor Plain
