The role of scale in research on the Himalaya-Brahmaputra interaction
Analysis of 52 published studies to determine the importance of scale in the debate over the causes of flooding in Bangladesh. Local studies have scales that are explicitly defined and focus on physical variables, whereas regional and continental studies have implicitely defined scales that focus on natural resource topics. - (DWG)
