Abstract

Conflict management in Northern Ireland has produced a unique sociopolitical form. This uniqueness is tied to the role that sectarianism plays within the construction and reproduction of politicized identities. The role of loyalism illustrates the manner in which class relationships are experienced and perceived as sectarian relationships.
