The A. argues that whilst they recognize landscapes are socially constructed, many economic geographers and theorizers of the geography of the capitalist space-economy have tended to ignore the role of workers in making the economic geography of capitalism or have conceived of them in a passive manner. The first part is a critique of how labor has been conceptualized in both neoclassical and Marxist inspired economic geography. The second part attempts to outline a way in which a more active sense of workers can be incorporated into economic geography
