Abstract

The AA. have studied the sediment ratio curves of 2 semi-arid Mediterranean species, with different cover and architecture (Rosmarinus officinalis and Lygeum spartum), in 2 field sites located in the Depression of the Ebro River (NE inland Spain). They propose that such individual characteristics could explain the differential effects of these species on soil erosion ratio curves given their similar values of interception, throughfall and stemflow
