Abstract

Excellent treatment of distribution, history, and ecology of the tree genus Nothofagus with the collaboration of more than 20 specialists. This genus occurs in New Zealand, Australia, New Guinea, New Caledonia, Chile and Argentina and as fossils in Antarctica.
