Abstract

The A. wants lo look at this movement's beliefs and practices. The focus is on its adherents' representations of racial identity and wilderness. These men are creatively reworking colonialist fantasies of non-Western societies and landscapes. The A. shows how its followers have adopted and adapted certain colonial representations of racial and landscape difference and identity.
