Abstract

Manganese oxides in soils may result from microbiological action rather than inorganic oxidation. The purpose of this study was to investigate the mineralogy of Mn oxides produced by fungal oxidation of Mn-containing siderite (FeCO[3]) rock and rhodochrosite (MnCO[3])
