Abstract

Spatial analysis is the geographical counterpart of trends, and the product of revolutions that encompass a wide time horizon. Spatial analysis and the quantitative revolution in geography have been concerned with the development and validation of theory, and with the application of mathematical and stochastic formalisms. The A. describes the positive developments of spatial analysis and presents the technique and the paradigm of the expansion method
