Abstract

1983 was the year of the cruise's arrival at the US Airforce Base of Greenham (Berkshire, England). Nuclear disarmament became the main issue in the political campaigns for the general elections. Inside the anti-nuclear group, there was a group of women that marched from Cardiff to Greenham. They were camping outside the gates in the Peace Camp. The actions and the carnival of these women raise important questions concerning political protest in general
