Abstract

Maps sometimes seriously misrepresent reality through the intention of their makers. Map authors may utilize scale, projection and symbolization to enhance or suppress information for a specific purpose. It is important for the map user to recognize the cartographer's intentions, oversights and technique to cleraly interpret the information a map displays. - (DWG)
