Abstract

The present study shows that environmental temperatures (such as soil temperature and minimum air temperature) are a dominant control over soil CO[2] levels, and that in coarse-grained substrate rapid percolation may make considerable amounts of soil water available during the warm season and therefore identify summer as the season with the greatest rock weathering potential
