Abstract

As a result of differences in the duration of aeolian processes, their effects in glaciated and non-glaciated areas are distinct. In the glaciated area, infrequent but large dune sets developed in or near the vast sand fields, in the non-glaciated area, dune migration occurred over long distances. On of the effects of long distance aeolian transport of sand grains was their roundness and mattness caused by abrasion. Stabilization of some migrating dunes occurred at the end of the Plenivistulian. Low dunes of this period, located in the shadow of convex forms of relief, continued their development. Stabilization of large-scale dunes developed in the Late-Vistulian
