Abstract

A detailed microfabric analysis of surface seal and crust developed under controlled conditions was conducted to establish the timing and sequence of events. The specific objectives of this investigation are : a) to study the micromorphology and the dynamics of fabric rearrangement during crusting development under simulated rainfall and thus to determine the subprocesses of crust development; and b) to relate fabric rearrangements to crust strength variations
